Research & Planning

I have marked all your research and planning posts and given you a mark out of 20.

Apart from Jamie, the rest of you have a great deal to catch up with.

I will return your mark sheets to you on Tuesday 23rd Feb so you will have an idea what grade/mark to expect. 

Jamie Powell - 38 posts. All work has been covered, together with additional posts not listed.

Hannah Richardson- 23 posts. Planning needs attention. No evidence of storyboard, script, shot-lists, drafting. More variety of digital technology needed.

Mikey Golino - 23 posts. Planning also needs doing. Script ? Shot-list?. More variety of digital technology would add interest.

Tom Pound - 27 posts (most of these are pictures/diagrams). No evidence of planning at all. no labelling. Difficult to navigate.

Year 13 : Digipak and/or Magazine Advert.

Year 12 and 13 Easter Opening

School will be open on Monday 30th March -  9am - 12noon if you wish to come in and use the MACs. Make sure you wear something warm as I doubt that the heating will be on.

I will be teaching in Room 13 until 12 but available if you need my help any time after 12.

I have started marking your BLOGS and should have completed all research and planning by Wed. I will start marking your evaluations on Thursday which gives you a bit more time to make sure they are done well. Don't forget to use ocrmediastudies.weebly.com for ideas and advice.

Welcome to the new term.

Year 13

You should be well on the way to completing all your research for your music video. Next week we should start the planning so that you can begin filming over half term. The more you do before Christmas, the easier it will be for you.

Year 12

You should have completed your continuity sequence and should now upload it onto youtube so that you can post it onto your blog. You should also provide a set of posts, with photos, explaining what you did, how you did it and what you learnt. Don't forget to mention the 180 degree rule, match on action and the shot reverse shot edits and how they worked. 

Keep checking the department blog weekly, so that you know what you need to do and what homework needs completing.

The following need to redo all or some of the questions, using the various technologies available. At the very least pictures/logos/clips/screen shots should be added.

LIAM BOWEN - Q2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 all need redoing. There is not enough here for a pass.

LEWIS SMITH -  Q4 - too brief. Q5,6,7 - need pics, logos etc. Q7 - use clips/screenshots (not the whole thing)

JACOB CHARLES - all need re-presenting, using 'technologies'

HARRY LOCK - all need redoing in more detail to gain a pass.

DANIEL PAIN - all need revising. Q1 - add pictures etc. Q2 - 7  - not enough detail.

Minor adjustments :

CONNOR REES - change green font style and colour. Needs to be much clearer (look at how much easier to read your labels are)
